Artist’s Call: Lost Chord Award, 2017/18

Artist’s Call: Lost Chord Award, 2017/18

Each year an artist will be chosen to create the awards to be presented.  There are four to be created for 2017/18. The only rule is that it should be a work of art that reflects the work of the Eos scholars and music of the Lost Chord Awardees. Media, form, design  is in the hands of the artist selected. There will be four awards to be presented in 2017/8:

Awards may be a work of wearable art, a medallion, a sculpture suitable for display in a mantlepiece or something we haven’t thought of at our end.  A frameable declaration from the Society of Ritual Arts Board of Directors will accompany each award.

Please use the form below to tell us about your ideas. The artist chosen will be announced in October 2017.

The Award for 2016 was created by Evan Riter, abstract multimedia sculptor, based upon the oceanic imagery in the music of Awardees, Sharon Knight and Winter.

Evan is a graduate of Cranbrook Academy of Art in Detroit, Michigan. He lives and works in the San Francisco Bay area where he is active in the arts and in animal rescue.
