A Place of Grace

Open roads go north

Into cloud-dappled sunset

Pillowed hills rise high

It’s a well worn road

Every turn a memory

Ghosts come to visit

Trees touch darkening sky

Spires, a place to pray for sure

Spirit dances high

Dusk red sky at night

Delight fills my weary bones

Graceful solitude

Dreams reveal danger

Ocean waves rise high, crest, fall

Break on lonesome shore

I am the sea’s foam

I am the beach at high tide

Waves crash. Pull. What’s left?

A new day. New sky.

Rosy red in sleepy morn

On the road again

Dangerous delight

Two sides of sailor’s old coin

Protective warning

Apricot fingers

Penetrate rose petal sky

Sweet calm beach in sight

Destination reached

Friends open arms, open hearts

Gracious, safe haven
