The Four Cornered Castle – Damh the Bard Songbook Volume 2

from Damh the Bard

http://www.paganmusic.co.uk/songbooks/

NEW – This chord book contains the chords from my last three studio albums, The Cauldron Born, Tales from the Crow Man and Antlered Crown and Standing Stone. As with Songbook 1 there is no musical notation in the book – I don’t read music myself – but the chord shapes and locations within the lyrics will show you more about my writing process, and how to play the songs as I do. As with my last songbook, I hope you enjoy singing these songs around your camp fires, in your covens and groves, or simply on your own or with friends. Get strumming! A4 ringbound format.

Worthy Crowdsourcing Campaigns

The Romance of Tristan and Iseult. Patrick Ball, Shira Kammen and Tim Rayborn

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-legend-of-tristan-and-iseult-cd#home

Tim Rayborn, Patrick Ball, Shira Kammen, need your help to fund finishing it. Every little bit helps, and there are some nice rewards for your patronage!

“Long ago, at a time when I was trying to decide what to do with my life, I discovered a small, beautifully bound volume of The Romance of Tristan and Iseult. I fell in love with the story … This story made me want to be a storyteller. It made me want to be a musician. …. Eventually, I asked acclaimed Early Music instrumentalists and singers Shira Kammen and Tim Rayborn to join me in performing the story. ”

Patrick Ball: Celtic Harp, Spoken Word patrickball.com

We also need to create art design of the CD. Tristan and Iseult is a legendary tale. We’d love to be able to afford a design as beautiful as the story. And we want to include extensive imagery and liner notes to bring to life as much of the history and scholarship as we can. (Luckily for us, Tim has a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies from the University of Leeds.)

The expense are pretty simple. It’s the paying for them that is a challenge:

Recording – $2400.00
Mixing and Mastering – $900.00
Art Design – $800.00
CD Manufacturing – $2400.00 (double CD)

The Gravel Spreaders’ New Album

The Gravel Spreaders formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in early 2011. Band leader, Bud Hole, called upon a few of his twangin’ redneck friends to fulfill his dream of a four-piece bluegrass band that covers ‘80s metal songs. Thus, “gravel-billy” was born. Bud Hole croons the tunes while hammering his signature Trans Am upright bass. Dr. Buck Knife sings and tends to the mandolin and jaw harp. Fallen ex-preacher, Buzzy Do-Well sings and plays a mean banjo. And crazy Uncle Mungar sings and picks his guitar and slides masterfully on the dobro.
