Invocation and Circle Casting

Invocation and Circle Casting by Marylyn Motherbear Scott
for
Morning Glory Zell in devotion to her life and her work

I cast the circle near and far

from thy beloved earth to the distant star,

that star that holds thy light aloft,

binding thy work in sacred troth,

so all may know and all may see

the blessings of thy work and thee.

From those of us upon the rim,

protecting thy path as you circle in,

to those who’ve passed this way before.

who stand beyond, on the shadowed shore,

arms outstretched, to enfold thee and kiss

as you enter a land hid in magickal mist.

Fivefold the kiss upon thy feet,

remembrance of a bliss so sweet,

a kiss upon thy knees, womb, breasts,

to thy lips, sealed so, in the west,

we dance with thee, thy spirit hail,

may thy soul be content, may thy wisdom prevail.

And so it is.
