Fight against the darkness

Don’t give up, fight

against the darkness,

shout at it,

drown it out

with everything

you can offer:

Drum, whistle,

sing and make noise,

threaten the monster

that threatens your sun –

and maybe it will return.

Hope quietly, hope

that the monster

will spare it,

and wait for

the new morning

in the middle

of your

day.
